Winback RF Therapy for Vaginal Laxity, Dryness and Pelvic Pain
Winback uses TECAR radiofrequency energy to deliver controlled warmth without directly stimulating motor or sensory nerves.
CET mode is used around the vaginal area to support circulation, lymphatic flow, and collagen production.
RET mode may be applied externally to help relieve menstrual cramps and chronic pelvic discomfort.
Treatment is generally recommended once or twice a week for at least five sessions, depending on the patient’s symptoms.
Various medical devices are used to support vaginal tightening and collagen regeneration.
Vaginal treatments may use technologies such as:
- CO₂ laser
- HIFU
- Radiofrequency
- Ultrasound
Among radiofrequency devices, Winback is designed to provide controlled warmth during treatment.
Patients can generally receive the treatment comfortably without significant pain.
What Is TECAR Radiofrequency Energy?
Radiofrequency energy in the range of approximately 300 kHz to 1.2 MHz is used to generate controlled heat within the tissue without directly stimulating motor or sensory nerves.
This thermal energy may support cellular activity, blood and lymphatic circulation, metabolic activity, and tissue recovery.
TECAR energy refers to radiofrequency energy used to transfer energy to biological tissue.
Since the 1990s, TECAR therapy has been used in Europe for rehabilitation and the treatment of sports-related injuries.
The name “Winback” reflects the idea of helping an injured athlete recover, return to competition, and win again.
How Does Winback Therapy Work?
Winback offers different treatment modes depending on the targeted tissue and treatment purpose.
CET Mode for Vaginal Care
CET mode is primarily used for treatment around the vaginal area.
The device is designed to deliver energy to the vaginal mucosa, muscles, and lymphatic system at varying depths,
from approximately 1 cm to a maximum of 7 cm.
The controlled thermal energy may help support:
- Blood circulation
- Lymphatic circulation
- Vaginal collagen production
- Tissue elasticity and recovery
What Symptoms May Winback Help Improve?
Winback vaginal care may be considered for patients experiencing:
- Vaginal laxity
- Vaginal dryness
- Urinary incontinence
- Urinary urgency
- Reduced sexual sensation
Some small clinical studies of intravaginal radiofrequency treatments have reported improvements in vaginal laxity, dryness, urinary symptoms, and sexual-function-related symptoms. However, results may vary depending on the device, treatment protocol, and individual patient.
RET Mode for Pelvic and Menstrual Discomfort
RET mode is generally used with an external abdominal pad.
Energy is delivered between the applicator and the pad, allowing treatment to reach deeper structures around the uterus, ligaments, and joints.
During menstruation, uterine contractions and the release of pain-related substances such as prostaglandins can contribute to menstrual cramps. Reduced circulation and muscle tension may also worsen discomfort.
By applying controlled thermal energy, Winback therapy may help improve blood and lymphatic circulation and relax surrounding tissue.
For this reason, it may be considered as supportive care for:
- Severe menstrual cramps
- Chronic pelvic pain
- Pelvic circulation and tissue recovery
However, persistent or severe menstrual and pelvic pain should first be evaluated to identify possible underlying conditions.
Recommended Treatment Schedule
Winback therapy is generally recommended:
- Once or twice a week
- For at least five sessions
The exact number and frequency of treatments may vary according to the patient’s symptoms and treatment goals.
Winback may also be combined with laser treatment that works through a different mechanism when considered appropriate by the physician.
Winback is difficult to fully understand without experiencing the treatment firsthand,
so today I have explained how this TECAR radiofrequency device is used in gynecologic care.
Winback therapy may be considered for women experiencing severe menstrual cramps,
chronic pelvic discomfort, vaginal dryness, urinary incontinence, or vaginal laxity.
At Daum Women’s Clinic, we evaluate each patient’s symptoms and condition before recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
Treatment effects and the number of sessions required may differ between individuals,
so we recommend consulting an OB-GYN before proceeding.
